“It’s not the past that hurts more, it’s the fact that I keep holding onto the past thats harming me more. It’s not what others do to me that hurts me, It’s me thinking they hurt me with what they did.”

We all know, we shouldn’t be holding onto the past, and I am sure everybody would like to let go if they could, but unfortunately it’s not easy. I think the problem relies in not knowing how to let go. So how can we let go?

I used let myself get hurt easily, whenever people ignored me or said things to me I thought that it was justified. I know it sounds ridiculous, indeed it is. In fact this is common for other people too.

Now remember, without sacrifice there is no prize, it took time and practice but today… I learned to not get shaken up. It doesn’t matter whenever I get mistreated or fail at something. Such things used to hurt me and even traumatize me, but now I feel even greater after each event, it makes me realize even more on how strong I have become. <<

“It is not what happens that determines the major part of your future. What happens, happens to us all. It is what you do about what happens that counts.” – Jim Rohn

#1 Accept that it has happened
Cry and feel down if you need to do so, to clear out your feelings, but don’t take forever. No guilt, no pain, NOTHING can undone what already has happened. What can go wrong WILL go wrong. This is the way life is structured. Everybody is experiencing the same. Things are never going to be great and amazing forever, at times things will be amazing and at times life will tear you down and make you suffer. Accept it! The more happier and successful you’ll get the deeper you will fall when you do.

It comes and stays for a while and goes away, like always

Remember that, “Bad times come to past, not to stay”, if you reflect this principle with your past it’s makes sense, right? You go through hardships and during that moment it feels as if it’s the end of the world, but life goes on and we even forget or laugh about it in the future.
